Engineer as Product Manager (m/f) Central Europe with an 12 months Onboarding Period in Sales
What's the role?
As Product Manager in our team in Kaufering near Munich you are responsible for the product life cycle of our key product lines for fastening & procection in the Central Europe region (DE, AT, CH, PL and NL). You develop product strategies for your own product lines, orchestrate their implementation in the region together with our markets and actively define new product innovations in cooperation with our corporate functions.
To build your career as Product Manager successfully, we ensure that we equip you with the necessary experiences during your onboarding process with Hilti: Starting as Field Sales Representative in the Central Europe region for the first 12 months, you will get to know Hilti’s unique direct sales strategy, our products and customers thoroughly. In preparation for your work in the field, you will receive an intensive training in your first weeks at Hilti.

What does the role involve?
- Responsibility for a product line including:
In order to obtain product and market leadership you strategically define and actively manage the product life cycle. Based on KPIs like profitability and turnover, you closely align with our markets in central Europe and build the interface towards our corporate functions. You coordinate and participate in customer acceptance tests and field tests. With reference to these you influence product specifications and propose improvement measures for our product portfolio. In exchange with the Trade Managers and local market organisations you develop customised marketing concepts.
- Development of new business fields:
Based on specific customer needs and analysis of competitors you calculate the market potential and define the value proposition and business opportunities of new business fields.
- Introduction of New Products:
For new products you define implementation dates and plan the volume for your region. In cooperation with the Trade Managers you develop marketing materials and a market introduction concept.

What you need is:
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field
- 2-3 years relevant work experience in sales or marketing preferably in the B2B industry
- Strong ability to lead through influence and collaborate closely with various stakeholders
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills coupled with project management know-how
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and German/Polish/Italian or Dutsch is a clear benefit
- High willingness to travel
