What's the role?
As our Lead UX Engineer (m/f/d) you create visually appealing designs in a complex project environment that enable users to successfully work with Hilti measuring solutions. In doing so, you will translate business and technical requirements into consistent designs and workflows. Your goal is to maximize the usability and experience for our customers.

What does the role involve?
In this role, you are responsible to strengthen the user-centric culture in the business unit measuring systems. In order to do this, you will define and measure objectives and further professionalize the implementation of user-centred-design processes in the business unit. As the Lead UX Engineer (m/f/d) you will directly work with customers, collect their thoughts and feedback and transform these back to inputs for the development teams. Furthermore, you will conduct UX research, prototyping and design with teams of customers as well as internal and external experts (mobile, embedded software, desktop software, web applications) to create the best solutions for our customers. With your expertise, you will be a strong point of reference, mediator and guide for various stakeholders (marketing, software developers, product owners, corporate identity, mechanical engineers, external vendors, UI designers). You will report directly to the head of software development.

What you need is:
- Relevant University degree with a focus on HCI, ergonomics and human factors or comparable disciplines
- Profound knowledge of UX research and design tools (e.g. context and task analysis, requirement analysis, interaction design, prototyping, iterative usability testing, satisfaction measurement)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in business-to-business UX-related areas
- Ability to craft UI components (e.g. icons, …) is beneficial
- High interest in the planning and construction industry
- Ability for interdisciplinary teamwork and communication
- A strong, cooperative and persuasive personality with a pragmatic work approach
- Fluent in English and German. Further languages are beneficial
