Project engineer for drive development with focus on electric motors (m/f/d)

With your strong expertise in the development of electric drives, you take responsibility for the success of your projects in relation to the project goals you have defined. Embedded in an international environment, you will lead an interdisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions for power tools.

What does the role involve?
The focus of your role are the technical project management of electric drives and technical supervision of an interdisciplinary team. You are responsible for the definition, development, evaluation and selection of technical drive and motor concepts in collaboration with internal and external partners. In addition to planning projects (resources, costs, deadlines) and ensuring that targets are met, you are responsible for the supervision, production and testing of prototypes. This is done in close coordination with the overall project. You ensure that the project complies with internal and external standards and regulations and support technical risk management. Furthermore, the qualification and support of the Early Warning Systems is your responsibility.

What you need is:
- Completed degree (diploma, master) in electrical engineering, mechatronics with focus on electrical drives or related fields
- Min. 5 years of professional experience in engine design and development
- Experience with systematic development methods and related tools
- Ideally some experience in the management of development projects
- Interdisciplinary leadership competence combined with superior analytical and strategic skills and a high affinity for practical activities
- Very good time management and a high level of self-initiative
- Good communication skills in an international environment, tenacity and target orientation
- Good command of English
