What does the role involve?

In this role, you will lead a small team of Quality Managers while being responsible for achieving Hilti quality and safety standards within assigned projects in our product development. In doing so, you will support the definition and control of quality relevant project tasks, monitor the proper application of the required quality/development tools and perform quality checks according to guidelines.
You will be responsible for continuously improving platform component design and software development with the goal of reducing product-related hazards/risks (e.g. manufacturing defects, application risks).
Together with your project team, you will ensure the development and production readiness of newly developed, improved and externally sourced components for new products - this includes ensuring component introduction according to the project plan and product requirements. You will also manage quality-related issues for external suppliers by conducting audits and reviewing or approving quality-related contract documents.
In your leadership role, you motivate your team members with your own enthusiasm, delegate and coordinate tasks, actively contribute to the achievement of goals and convey our Hilti values. What you need is:

  • Completed university degree in the field of electrical engineering or mechatronic engineering
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in an industrial and international environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality management in product and software development
  • Several years of experience in leading quality teams and applying standard quality tools (e.g. Root Cause Anlaysis, Risk Assessment)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and a highly goal-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to build internal and external networks
  • Cross-functional team player in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • Fluent English is required - good German language skills are desirable
