What does the role involve?
As a project engineer, you will actively shape the concepts of the next generation of power tools. You will have sole responsibility for the development of innovative hammer drills in an international environment and your focus will be on design and technical project management. In this context, you will take over the technical leadership of an interdisciplinary development team consisting of different areas of expertise (drive development, testing, measurement technology, simulation, manufacturing technology, etc.). In collaboration with internal and external partners, you will also be responsible for the definition, design, development, evaluation, selection and implementation of technical concepts. This includes technical risk management and project documentation in accordance with internal and external regulations. Based on your project planning (resources, time, budget) you will ensure the achievement of the project goals.
When it comes to the further development of the product portfolio, your ideas for innovative concepts and new manufacturing technologies will be in demand.

What you need is:
- University degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplines
- At least five years of professional experience in product development in an industrial or academic environment
- In-depth knowledge of design and manufacturing technologies
- Some experience in the management of development projects
- Strong analytical mindset with an affinity for practical activities
- Goal-oriented, systematic and independent working method coupled with a high degree of self-initiative
- Great team spirit with excellent communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
- Willingness to travel abroad and a very good command of English
