With several years of professional experience, you will contribute your knowledge in the development, cost estimation and documentation of manufacturing technology solutions at the assembly group level of power tools, proactively supporting our team to develop technical solutions with high complexity.

What does the role involve?
The focus of your position is on the development of technology recommendations for mechanical components and assembly groups in the area of power tools and the preparation of economic feasibility studies across the entire value chain.
To accomplish this, you will develop production cost estimates and calculations for assembly groups or complete power tools and actively use the application of tools and standards to select most suitable manufacturing technologies. Within your role, you will be an important member in various projects (e.g. technology, platform, TTM, OED, PIP, QIP, approval, product care projects), drive the respective topics and exchange information with your colleagues on a regular basis.
Besides this you will also be responsible of the independent execution of feasibility studies to evaluate product and new manufacturing technologies whose application may become relevant for Hilti in the near future.
Finally, you will present your work results in project and steering committees and thus ensure open and clear communication, predominantly in English, within the project teams and to management.

What you need is:
- Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering or a similar discipline
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of Cost Engineering for a multinational manufacturing company, ideally with experience as well in machining, casting and sintering technologies desirable
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and a high level of goal-oriented working methods
- High team orientation with very good communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
- Fluent in English language – additional languages are a plus
