System Architect (m/f/d)
What's the role?
With your passion for System Architecture, you will manage technical complex SW development projects, including quality assurance of the technical implementation Hilti-internal and by external partners. In doing so, you will be the driving force to define and coordinate implementation of Hilti’s SW solutions for customers, as e.g. Hilti ON!Track.

What does the role involve?
As our System Architect (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the technical management of complex global software development projects, including to facilitate the implementation of new software product lines. Based on the translation of the business requirements into economic and efficient architecture measures, you will contribute to technical roadmap creation, evaluate technologies, define PoCs, develop the architecture strategy, concepts, processes and methodologies. Your target-oriented communication skills and highly innovative thinking allows you to lead and structure discussions, managing technical alignments between different stakeholders as well as influence teams, the leadership and external customer groups by presenting and sharing your knowledge you have gathered by monitoring technical trends. In addition, managing documentation of microservices, external interfaces and technical alignment between different stakeholders for system integration is important for you. Ensuring the integration of Hilti’s IoT services and solutions into 3rd party systems will be scope of your responsibility as well as creating and maintaining Architecture documentations.
Teamwork is an important value for you which is why you proactively support, guide and coach the development teams as well as share your excellent knowledge regarding state-of-the-art technologies. All in all, you would define yourself as a proactive collaborator within the Architecture community. By defining proper metrics and KPIs, you will monitor the development progress and check the technically correct execution.

What you need is:
- University Degree (Master) in Computer Engineering or a related field and more than 6 years of professional experience in development projects
- Min. 4+ years prior experience as a Software Architect
- Distinct knowledge in a variety of relevant technologies, solid background in software engineering
- Excellent understanding of Microservices and implementation patterns, Domain-driven design mindset is a plus
- Experience in planning and implementation of relevant working methods with relevant tools
- Strong analytical skills to summarize and present complex issues in a comprehensible way and, if necessary, affinity to practical activities
- Collaborative team player with a hands-on attitude
- Professional leadership competence
- Very good knowledge of English and International travel willingness
