Technical Project Management for saw blade development (m/f/d)
What's the role?
You worked for several years in the development of saw blades and other inserts for power tools. You possess in-depth knowledge of demolition processes in a variety of base/building materials during sawing and grinding processes, in development methodology and manufacturing technology.

What does the role involve?
You will be responsible for the technical management of complex development projects in the field of insert tools, with a focus on saw blades for metal and wood applications on construction sites.
You will act as interface between internal and external production plants, the technical departments such as Testing, Quality and Corporate Research, as well as non-technical departments such as Marketing, Supply and Project Management. You will be accountable for the development of new concepts and solutions and their technical implementation. You keep track of the achieved results and present them to the relevant steering committees. You will be responsible for technical project planning based on proactive risk management and the preparation of different scenarios to mitigate risks.
You will cooperate closely with the development teams for the associated tools, both in joint projects on an inter-project basis. In this context, you will ensure the development and expansion of system understanding within the business unit.
In technology projects, you will develop the basis for future product generations. In particular, this involves the further development of existing production technology, proposals for improved automation, optimized cutting materials and improved geometries. For this purpose, you will monitor the competitive environment and the related external patent landscape and accordingly derive trends and develop strategies for Hilti.
You will lead the development teams with empathy and leadership, continuously developing yourself and your environment.

What you need is:
- Completed engineering studies (MSc. or similar)
- Several years of experience in the development and production of tool inserts
- Knowledge of construction technology, materials technology and/or simulation techniques would be an advantage
- Courage to make your own decisions and good persuasion skills.
- Intrinsic motivation and interest in understanding & creating
- Excellent analytical skills, creativity and a structured approach
- Stamina & resilience
- Strong communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
- Excellent command of English, German language skills would be an advantage
