Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) in the area of fire protection
What's the role?
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated team player (m/f/d) for product development projects in the area of fire protection. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the development of technologies and the development of new fire stopping products that meet our customers' requirements. This requires an intrinsic desire to solve problems and develop creative product solutions. Passive fire protection systems are a clever combination of chemical and mechanical elements resulting in a synergy and increased performance. An inter-disciplinary approach together with a project team working closely with production and suppliers inspire and encourage you.

What does the role involve?
The focus of your work is upon the development and formulation of technically complex chemical fire stopping products. In this context, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, evaluation and documentation of the corresponding experiments in laboratory and pilot plant scale. You will support the testing of developed prototypes through to their transfer to production scale. As part of extensive development projects, as Project Manager (m/f/d), you will need to coordinate all the interfaces involved, and will be responsible for planning (resources, costs and deadlines) as well as the execution and coordination of dedicated project tasks. You will also be responsible for creating and coordinating target specifications and final product specifications, test and simulation plans, as well as the conducting of quality tests.

What you need is:
- PhD in chemistry (organic chemistry, polymer chemistry)
- Minimum 2 years' professional experience in the area of chemical product development (e.g. fire stopping products) or a comparable field (adhesives, coatings etc.)
- Experience in production technologies, forming processes or process optimization would be an advantage
- Ideally some experience in the management of development projects
- Interdisciplinary leadership competence combined with superior analytical and strategic skills and a high affinity for practical activities
- Good communication skills in an international environment, tenacity and target orientation
- Excellent command of English
