What's the role?

In this role, you work closely with our developers and product managers to design and implement innovative solutions to meet our customers’ needs. You specify system requirements for our drive systems, including mechanics, power electronics and firmware. You create tests, define work packages and coordinate both internal and external partners. You are embedded in an industry-leading, global engineering team, to which you contribute with your comprehensive systems expertise, particularly in the field of electronic design.

What does the role involve?

As technical project manager, you are responsible for the drive systems in various development projects for cordless power tools. You take over the conceptual design of electronic solutions and act as an interface to various internal and external stakeholders as well as business partners. Together, you compile feature requirements and be responsible for creating the long-term feature roadmap for each drive platform. In collaboration with our technical experts you transform the feature roadmap into technical requirements. You communicate the roadmap to your business partners and assume responsibility for its effective implementation. An additional task is the costing and scheduling of development projects.

What you need is:

  • Completed degree (bachelor’s, master’s) in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or related disciplines
  • Minimum five years of professional experience in the development and implementation of electronic hardware
  • Some experience in technical project management would be an advantage
  • Experience in offshore development (especially in Asia) and intercultural cooperation would be a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for innovative ideas
  • Excellent team and communication skills
  • Fluent English
