Test Engineer inserts for power tools (m/f/d)
What's the role?
Due to your hands-on mentality and implementation skills, you have an affinity for practical activities and would like to expand your skills in the area of development with a focus on testing inserts for power tools. You feel comfortable in a test- and laboratory environment, working together with an interdisciplinary and international team on the development of innovative products. In order to overcome technical challenges, you bring your analytical skills and your knowledge to solve problems - this includes the coordination and responsibility of the tests of our products, from samples to series.

What does the role involve?
The focus is on testing tailor-made inserts for rotary- and demolition hammers. You are solely responsible for the planning, execution and statistical evaluation of measurements and tests. Based on your profound expertise in the field of material science, you assess the quality and functionality of parts/components with the help of damage analysis and statistical evaluation methods. During your work, you are in constant exchange with development department, system test engineers and technology experts. The function also includes participation in various technology- and development-projects. As a strong team player, you coordinate the activities in close cooperation with your development teams. You present the work results in project- and steering committees and ensure communication within the project team and towards management. You coordinate tasks and work processes with internal and external partners and take on the technical supervision of other internal and external employees.
The tasks described above will give you opportunities to show and develop your skills. The next possible step could be a leadership role or a job at an international Hilti test location.

What you need is:
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in the field of materials science, manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering or related subjects
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in product testing or product development
- Experience in planning, execution and evaluation of experiments
- High affinity for hands-on activities and strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong personal initiative and goal-oriented, structured way of working
- Team player with very good communication skills in English (German is optional) in an interdisciplinary and international environment
