What does the role involve?

Your focus will be on the independent testing of tailor-made inserts for rotary- and chisel hammers, and you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and statistical evaluation of measurements and tests. This means that, based on your proven expertise in the field of metallurgy and materials technology, you will assess the quality and functionality of the inserts or their components using damage analyses and statistical evaluation methods. You will operate our latest testing and measuring technology and develop it even further through your own motivation and knowledge.

With your pronounced team orientation, you will coordinate your activities in close cooperation with colleagues in various technology and development projects and always have your goals clearly in mind.
Finally, you will present your work results in project and steering committees and thus ensure the open and clear communication within the project teams and to management. To further deepen your initial leadership experience, you will coordinate tasks and workflows with internal and external partners and supervise and coach external employees and student projects.

What you need is:

  • Completed studies in the field of metallurgy and materials technology
  • Several years of professional experience in product testing or product development
  • Experience in the planning, execution and evaluation of experiments
  • High affinity for practical activities and ability to identify and solve problems
  • High team orientation with excellent communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • Strong communicative skills and persuasiveness on complex material topics
  • Very good English skills
